If you’re a Whispering Angel drinker, just kick it out.... This has got twice as much flavour as a Provence rosé.

Made by good folk

When we launched in 2019, hardly anyone was talking about English rosé. We couldn’t understand why.

Wine had become unnecessarily complicated, too much jargon, too many rules, too many people making you feel you needed a qualification just to pick a bottle. Folc that.

We knew English wines could stand with the best, and that more people deserved to discover how exciting they’d become. So we did it properly: working directly with brilliant multi-generational growers across the South East of England, hand-selecting the best parcels, and making the dry, pale English rosé we actually wanted to drink, no pretence, no gatekeeping, no “correct” way to drink it.

Today Folc is poured in Michelin-starred restaurants, packed into picnic baskets and opened at kitchen tables. Exactly as it should be.

Good Folk Drink Folc. We hope it surprises you the way English wine first surprised us.

Cheers,
Tom

Vivino review

Crisp and round flavour, with hints of peach. You can tell the difference as the grapes are handpicked and only use the best Pinot variety. Beats most of the Provence brands on taste and price.. and it’s English! A new favourite

This is the closest Rosé I have had to Whispering Angel and other top flight Provence rosé.

I enjoy Folc as much as the finest provencale rose’s. The fact that it is produced less than twenty minutes from my home is a very pleasant surprise and convenience.

The only fault with Folc is that the bottle wasn't big enough!

Made for British classics

Dry, crisp and full of red fruit, so it gets on with most things. Here are our favourites.

  • Roast chicken. Dry and crisp, it lifts a Sunday roast without taking over.
  • Smoked salmon. Crisp acidity keeps every bite fresh.
  • Dressed crab. A seaside classic that loves something light and dry.
  • Soft English cheese. Try Tunworth, made just down the road in Hampshire.
  • Strawberries and cream. It brings out the strawberry in the glass.
